The American Idol Marathon started yesterday at 6:00PM and what can I say? I’m a real addict and even though I’ve NEVER (I’m emphasising the ‘never’) missed a show since it started back in January. But – I just love the auditions because it so hilarious to watch those who are actually funny! I must say that until now (1:30PM Saturday morning) the marathon is still running – currently Top 12 girls performing. I stayed up last night waiting for Renaldo Lapuz’s audition dedicated really for Simon Cowell:
♪I am your brother
Your best friend forever
Singing the song, the music that you like...
OHHHHHHH!
I love you brother (brother)
We’re brothers ‘til the end of time
Together or not, you’re always in my heart...♫
And it goes on – LOL. That’s the only part I remembered up to. It was an original song written by the one and only Renaldo Lapuz – I really hope they invite him back to the finale to perform the song for Simon Cowell. Or at least you know, give him an award for the best original song ever on Idol along with fellow nominee Milo Turk who was actually 39 years old but managed to audition just because he wanted to send a message to the teens out there with his songs. He says that his songs should be the songs that should be played on radios – and what do you know, his song was titled “No Sex Allowed” LOL.
But the of course, it would really be anything if I didn’t stay up waiting for David Archuleta’s audition in San Diego: ♪So we keep waiting (waiting), Waiting on the world to change♫ I kept on laughing during his audition – it was so cute how Randy sang along with little David Archuleta♥
I woke up this morning at around 9:00AM to find that Hollywood Week was just about the start – WOW. HAHA – at least I got to see David Archuleta♥ and the rest battling out for Top 24 and seriously, David Archuleta’s “Heaven” was so heavenly.
♪Oh - thinkin' about all our younger years
There was only you and me
We were young and wild and free
Now nothin' can take you away from me
We bin down that road before
But that's over now
You keep me comin' back for more
Baby you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
We're in heaven
And love is all that I need
And I found it there in your heart
It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven♫
And of course – there were other spectacular performances from David Hernandez and Michael Johns during Hollywood week. I especially loved Michael Johns’ rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. After Hollywood week – I still stayed in front of the TV to watch the picking of Top 24. I remember a fellow called Josiah Lemmings whom I really liked during his auditions but failed to make it into the Top 24 as he turned out to be overconfident during the last day of Hollywood week where he dismissed the band. I also really liked Kyle (the guy who dresses up like a politician with the cute dorky glasses) and I thought that he should’ve been brought through instead of Colton Berry – oh well, at least Simon Cowell was disappointed at the decision of putting Colton through. I guess Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul preferred Colton over Kyle... Who knows?
After that – I stayed a bit more to watch the Top 12 boys perform the 60s. Well more or like studied for my French exam and then returning to the TV when David Archuleta♥ came on with “Shop Around,” and I just couldn’t stop getting tingly and all when I watched David Archuleta♥ and his nervous laughs – that was the first time he did them on the show. I had actually forgotten about them until I watched it again today – but I remembered when Ryan was kidding around with David Archuleta saying that all the ladies were falling for him, and David gave him the cute little elbow nudge! AWWWWWWW!~
Ryan: Here are the numbers, 1866-IDOLS-06, that’s 1866-43657-06. Unfortunately you can only vote for him and not adopt him…
LOL – I loved that line! Most importantly – I love David Archuleta♥ and now I can’t wait for his rendition from the 70s theme of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Anyway, I guess I’ll end my post here for today, here’s a list of David Archuleta’s Idol songs:
