Last day of June!
And might I add – it hasn’t been a very nice end of the month for me.
I’m sick and I so totally do not dig being sick during the holidays.
I remember when I got sick last year when I was in Canada.
It was because I was wandering around the streets of Niagara Falls until 2 in the morning being constantly showered by the mists of the Falls – I tell you, not a good idea to do. I got the worst cold the next morning and to make it worse, I went swimming at my cousin’s house which was dead cold. Actually, I wouldn’t have gone swimming if only my cousins hadn’t made me jealous of watching them having fun and I sat at the side being miserable when I’m supposed to be enjoying my holiday. Have you even had the feeling that you coughed so hard that you feel you’re going to cough out your tonsils sooner or later? Yeap – that was back in good ol’ Canada... Such fond memories. I’m trying to recover a document from my laptop about the outlines I did last Summer – maybe by reading and posting them on my blog I’ll actually enjoy this summer by the memories of last year.
Anyway, what did I do today? Well earlier on I was watching a flick titled ‘Just Like Heaven.’ I remember the first time I watched this with my aunts and cousin while my mom and my grandma were having a snore competition right beside us. We were all sleeping in my Uncle’s living room – well the only reason for that was because my uncle just moved in and the house wasn’t really furnished yet... Anyway, I remember how we got to watching the flick, while we were all having dinner we watched Employee of the Month followed on by Into the Blue. Then I remember watching Jus Like Heaven around 3 in the morning with my aunt and cousin until 6 in the morning when we actually went to bed. It was hilarious because when we were just about to go to bed, my uncle came down about to go to work or something. I remember only sleeping until about 9 the same morning and only managed to catch some snooze on the drive back to Hamilton from Toronto – such fond memories. Anyway, no matter how many times I watch Just Like Heaven, I would ALWAYS cry like a baby during the part where David kisses Elizabeth which brought her back to life...
Yesterday night, as stated in my previous post, I went to Jerudong Park to watch my sister’s Ballet performance. I must say that I have never been so enthusiastic about Ballet until I saw my sister’s teacher’s daughter, Korina, dance so beautifully. And I remember my mom saying to me that night – “If I hadn’t stopped you from doing ballet, maybe you would’ve been like her now...” I too felt the same way, gosh – I should’ve taken Ballet instead of violin. I remember my mom making me choose between the two last time for she hadn’t enough money to pay for both. Oh well, now I’m just counting on my sister to be as graceful as Korina, all it takes it patience and perseverance.
I know it’s nothing to get excited about seeing as I’m not going to be anywhere near them but...
