The American Idol addict is back with the reviews on tonight’s
Idol Gives Back

Daughtry in Uganda
I’m sorry to say that I won’t be talking about the whole night
It’d just take too long if I talk about every single detail of the two and a half hour long show…
They started off the show with a big bomb where they had the Top 8 finalists singing along with “Don’t Stop the Music” by Rihanna and had dancers from So You Think You Can Dance. I LOVED IT.
After the dance item, there were a few clips shown featuring stars like Kylie Milogue, Ben Stiller, etc. There was then this speech by the First Lady of California There was then a performance by Snoop Dog. I thought the little kids who went on stage with Snoop Dog were really cute.
There were more stars that appeared on the show like Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, Reese Whiterspoon, Brad Pitt, Mariah Carey, etc. They were also a few celebrities who made trips to certain parts of Africa and America showing the world how every 35seconds, a child dies because of AIDS, Malaria or because of the lack to access of clean water. I cried loads seeing all those people – it just touched me to see how many people out there actually suffer and made me thankful of what I already have that they don’t…
In between all the real life drama, the Top 8 American Idol finalists sang “Seasons of Love” from Rent. It was awesome.

Somewhere towards the end of the show, there was this little skit performed by Ryan Seacrest, the three judges and the current winner of the Russian Idol (not!). I actually thought they invited the winner of the Russian Idol – but, it was just a joke played by Robin Williams. He then sang in front of the judges –
Paula: “Nice shirt!”
Robin: “Elton John had a garage sale; I just had to buy the shirt.”
The show then closed with a number by Mariah Carey and last but not least, a finale from the Top 8 American Idol finalists singing “Shout to the Lord.”

Power and majesty
Praise to the King
